We are a registered Community-Based Organisation united by a shared vision, to uplift the community through collective enterprise and mutual support.

Our Story

Likoni Inua Vijana was founded in 2022 by young people in the Likoni sub-county of Mombasa who saw that the answer to unemployment, limited access to education and healthcare, substance abuse, and other economic hardships was not to wait but to act together. Starting from nothing, we pooled resources, secured registration, and built income-generating activities from the ground up.


Today we are a formally registered C.B.O with an active governance structure and partnerships with major institutions including the World Bank, KEMFSED project and the Kenya Red Cross.

Flagship Project

Our flagship enterprise: Of slow-roasted, stone-ground peanut butter produced right here in Likoni. Made 100% naturally with no additives, sold in 400g/500g/1Kg jars branded under GoldSpread's, and available in three variants: smooth creamy, crunchy, and honey. This project has created employment for members while producing a nutritious, market-ready product

Our car wash business provides a steady stream of income for group members. Operating in Likoni, the service employs members on a rota basis and contributes to group savings. The equipment was acquired through collective contribution, reflecting our model of self-reliance before seeking external funding.
